In September, our MD Chris Mitchell put on his running shoes once again to take part in the Nottingham Robin Hood Half Marathon. Fundraising for Footprints Conductive Education Centre, Chris more than doubled his original target, raising over £2,000 for the Nottingham based charity.
Chris was part of Team Footprints, a team of runners all fundraising for the charity, and we are delighted to announce that overall, the team raised over £13,000!
In addition to donations from friends and family, Chris was delighted to have the support of several RedTree PR clients. Nottingham Venues was the official accommodation provider for the half marathon and hosted several events in the run up to the race, all raising funds for Footprints. Children 1st Day Nurseries also continued its support for Footprints, with a generous donation from the business and its founder Margaret Mason OBE.
Footprints Conductive Education Centre supports families with disabled children and transforms the lives of children living with mobility and communication difficulties across the East Midlands. The charity is close to Chris’ heart as his son Alfie, who has Down Syndrome, attends Footprints each Thursday.
Chris comments: “The team at Footprints do amazing work in helping children and Alfie has come on so much since he has been attending. His sessions cover both fine and gross motor skills and we have been taught exercises that we can do with him at home too.
“I am proud to have doubled my original target and that so many RedTree PR clients, along with friends and family supported me, both financially and through devoting their time. Footprints is only a small charity, so knowing that overall Team Footprints raised over £13,000 is amazing. The money will go to such good use.”

The Robin Hood Marathon is one of the key fundraising events in our calendar, bringing in a substantial amount of money for our charity. Every donation our charity receives is utilised and goes directly into improving the lives of the children and families we support.”
RedTree PR and Chris’ fundraising will not stop here…plans are already underway to complete next year’s London Landmarks Half Marathon!
