Hat-Trick of New Client Wins for RedTree PR

RedTree PR has enjoyed a strong start to 2015, securing three new clients, Kitronik, King’s Walk Contact Lenses and Saks Hair and Beauty West Bridgford.

It is often said that word of mouth marketing is one of the most effective (other than PR obviously!) and this has proved to be the case for us. All three clients decided to work with us following recommendation from our existing clients and contacts which is extremely satisfying.

Based in the old Shipstones Brewery in Nottingham, Kitronik is an electronics company which is at the forefront of the UK’s growing ‘Maker Movement’ and is a leading provider of materials and resources which help support and inspire enthusiasm for electronic engineering. The company supplies electronic project kits to over 3,000 UK schools to help engineer an interest in design and technology amongst secondary school students.

Started in 2005 by Geoff Hampson and Kevin Spurr, Kitronik has grown consistently and has recently sold its 1 millionth product.

This story was the first brief for RedTree and we are pleased to report we hit the ground running, securing numerous pieces of coverage for Kitronik including in leading trade magazine Electronics Weekly and also in The Nottingham Post. The coverage can be viewed online in Electronics Weekly and The Nottingham Post.

We will be continuing to implement the PR plan for Kitronik to secure them coverage in the national press, highlighting the good work the company is doing to address the UK skills shortage in design and technology.

King’s Walk Contact Lenses are one of Nottingham’s oldest businesses and are at the forefront of eye health within the UK. Kings Walk are the only opticians in the UK that manufacture gas permeable contact lenses on site. The company and its staff are not just experts in eye health but understand the huge impact this has on a person’s overall health. RedTree will be working to secure regular press coverage for Kings Walk in the regional and national press on a range of issues relating to eye health.

Making sure we keep Saks Hair and Beauty, West looking as good in the press as they keep their clients looking will be at the forefront of our PR activity for this West Bridgford Salon. The staff at Saks are fantastic and have so much news coming out of the salon we are sure we will be kept busy working to raise the salon’s profile in Nottinghamshire.

We have already been busy promoting its success at the Saks Awards. Two of the salons apprentices were voted the best in the UK in their categories at the national awards. We secured a write up in the Nottingham Post and will also be working with Nottinghamshire Today on a Spring Hair Feature in April.

Commenting on working with the new clients, RedTree founder and MD Chris Mitchell said: “It’s always great to work with companies that have a story to tell. If a company’s work is of interest to me then it’s likely that other people will be interested and that makes the job enjoyable and ensures the best results for clients. I was certainly struck by that when I met with Kitronik, King’s Walk and Saks. All companies do excellent work and have great stories to share. I am looking forward to working with them to spread their news.”

If you think your company has a story which others will be interested in or if you would like advice on how your business can be featured in the media, please say hello to RedTree.
