Looking ahead to 2026

It feels like a long time since I last sat down to write a blog post for my own website – and that’s because it is!

Over the past couple of years, my focus has very much been on supporting RedTree PR’s clients, rather than marketing my own business. I’ve spent far more time working in the business than on it. Ordinarily, that wouldn’t be ideal — but given my personal circumstances, it was exactly where my energy needed to be.

In November 2023, my youngest son Alfie was diagnosed with leukaemia. For the past two years, our family has been focused on getting him through treatment, supporting him every step of the way, and watching him do exactly what he’s done – give cancer a proper kicking! I’m incredibly grateful to be able to say that he is now cancer-free, has completed treatment, and is looking forward to starting school this September.

During that time, family quite rightly came first. But RedTree didn’t stop.

I’ve continued to work tirelessly for clients, and the business has remained strong. We’ve grown organically through referrals and repeat work, and we’re starting 2026 with a solid client base, a new client already on board, and several positive new business conversations in progress.

I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together.

Over the past two years, RedTree has supported clients through successful business sales, including the largest deal in the early years sector in 2024, periods of record growth, acquisitions, and the completion of major, landmark developments. There’s also been no shortage of media coverage and award success along the way.

All of this has happened against the backdrop of a challenging economic climate. Yet our clients’ businesses have continued to move forward — adapting, refining, growing and delivering results for their own customers and stakeholders. Being alongside them during those moments is exactly why I do what I do.

So yes, my own marketing may have taken a back seat — but the work certainly hasn’t. And I’m genuinely proud of that.

As we head into 2026, I’m excited to re-focus on RedTree’s own story again. I love the clients I work with and the sectors we operate in, and I’m looking forward to reminding people of the quality, strategic PR support we deliver for businesses across London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester and Nottingham.

Above all, I want to say a sincere thank you to my clients for their continued trust and support during what has been the most challenging period of my life.

Here’s to 2026. Onwards and upwards!
